Invest 91L has been upgraded to Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine (PTC 9).
A west to west-northwest track through the Caribbean with steady strengthening forecast, with PTC 9 expected to become a tropical depression or storm later today or tonight, and a hurricane in the West Caribbean Sunday or Monday.
At this time, PTC 9 does not appear to be a threat to the United States.
