Pleasant conditions will prevail once again today. Afternoon highs are expected to climb into the lower to mid 60s, with sunny skies.
Tonight: A light freeze remains possible tonight — mainly away from the coast — as a surface high slides south, allowing for radiational cooling.
Several cold weather advisories are in place for tonight/tomorrow morning:
- A Freeze Watch is in effect for every county in the Panhandle tonight through early (excluding coastal areas from Escambia County to Franklin County).
- A Freeze Warning is also in effect for inland Escambia, Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa counties.
- A Frost Advisory is in effect for coastal Escambia, Santa Rose, and Okaloosa counties.
Temperatures will drop into the lower 30s north of I-10, with middle to upper 30s south of I-10.
Tomorrow: Temperatures will begin to moderate, maxing out in the mid to upper 60s tomorrow afternoon. Skies will continue to be clear.
Friday and the weekend: Moderation of temperatures will continue. Showers and storms, and thus cloud cover, return Friday.
Early next week: Cloud cover, the chance for showers and storms, and (unseasonably) warm temperatures will continue each day into early next week.
Showers and storms look to increase in coverage substantially Monday and Tuesday, and there does appear potential for some strong to possibly severe storms, with guidance indicating CAPE (instability) to be in the 500 – 1500 j/kg range.
However, as of now there is some uncertainty.
