A few Severe Storms Possible Across Southeast Texas, Much of Louisiana, Parts of Mississippi Tomorrow

An upper-level low is going to track across the Central Plains tomorrow. It will draw deep Gulf moisture northward, resulting in scattered to widespread showers and storms across Louisiana and Mississippi tomorrow.

Some strong to severe storms could occur during the day tomorrow. Overall, the threat is relatively low.

The Storm Prediction Center has Northern Louisiana and West-Central Mississippi under a “slight risk” for severe weather, and a “marginal risk” for Southeast Texas, the remainder of Louisiana (excluding a small section of Southeast Louisiana), and portions of South and Central Mississippi.

The best chance for severe weather tomorrow will be in the “slight risk” area, with isolated strong to severe storms possible in the “marginal risk” area.

Hail and damaging winds will be the primary hazards posed by storms tomorrow. However, an isolated tornado or two will also be possible.
