Front to Bring Drier Air Mass

A cold front is going to dip southward through the Gulf Coast States tomorrow into Wednesday; widespread showers/storms will be likely along and ahead of it. Behind the front, a much drier air mass will settle in. Dew points will drop off sharply, decreasing humidity and leading to seasonal to slightly below normal temperatures.

However, by Friday ridging will begin to build across the Eastern 2/3 of the country, resulting in a return to a hot and humid pattern.
