A Tornado Touched Down in MS This Morning

A weak spin-up tornado occurred in Leake County, MS this morning along the Natchez Trace.

The tornado tracked a little over 4 miles. According to the preliminary damage survey, it was and EF- with peak winds estimated to be 90 mph.

No deaths or injuries were reported.

A weak spin-up tornado has been confirmed from this morning’s system. EF-1 with max winds of 90 mph, path length of 4.36 miles, width of 500 yards. Occurred along the Natchez Trace about 9 miles west of Carthage. pic.twitter.com/TSUyR72CJ3
