Low-End Severe Weather Threat for Much of Alabama Tomorrow

There is potential for severe weather across much of Alabama tomorrow.

Numerous showers and storms will form along/ahead of a cold front as it advances into the Southeast.

The set up is not going to favor a widespread severe weather outbreak. Instead we will be looking at some isolated strong to severe storms.

Large hail and damaging winds will be the main hazards. A tornado threat is not apparent at this time, as shear looks to be generally unidirectional.

A level 1 out of 5 (marginal) risk area has been defined by the Storm Prediction Center (see figure 1).

The time-frame is roughly during the afternoon hours into tomorrow evening.
