After producing in east Texas yesterday, including the Franklin tornado which is now preliminary rated an EF-3, severe storms marched east and spawned several reported twisters in Mississippi and Alabama overnight.

A possible tornado impacted the campus of Mississippi State University around 10:30 PM CDT, downing trees across Blackjack Road based on reports from social media.
However, WLOX reports that there was no structural damage or injuries.
A tornado also impacted Monroe County, damaging homes, causing several injuries, and resulting in at least 2 fatality according to a report from AccuWeather. The town of Hamilton took a direct hit.

There were also multiple reported tornadoes across central Alabama, as well as in Troy, AL this morning, which overturned a vehicle and downed power poles/lines.
