Flash Flooding Ongoing Across Portions of South TX; Significant Flash Flooding Possible

Radar estimated rainfall and flash flood warnings as of 9:11 PM CDT.

Flash flooding is ongoing in Blanco, Hays, Travis, Bastrop and Lee counties in Texas.

At least 3 – 4″ of rain has fallen so far this evening. Radar estimated are even higher, at and above the 6″ mark.

Moderate to Heavy rain is ongoing and will continue for the next several hours.

Many low water crossings have closed. High water rescues have also been reported.

This is a dangerous situation, and is exacerbated by the fact that it is nighttime, making it hard to see flood waters. Significant flash flooding is possible.

Stay off the roads tonight if possible. And remember: turn around, don’t drown!
