9pm – Look, I know it is Friday Night in a College Town, but please stay home tonight across the Austin area & surrounding counties (Hays, Bastrop, Lee). There are too many low water crossings being closed, and Flooding will continue AFTER rain has ended. https://t.co/SnpFajsjd9 pic.twitter.com/8yTCrsPprU

Many low water crossings have closed. High water rescues have also been reported.
This is a dangerous situation, and is exacerbated by the fact that it is nighttime, making it hard to see flood waters. Significant flash flooding is possible.
Stay off the roads tonight if possible. And remember: turn around, don’t drown!
