Tropical Update: Development Possible in Northern Gulf Later This Week

Latest 5-day Graphical Tropical Weather Outlook from the National Hurricane Center.

A cold front is going to drop down into the Gulf tomorrow, slow and meander into the weekend.

It is possible that a non-tropical area of low pressure could form along it late tomorrow or Thursday.

Should a low form, it is not inconceivable that there could be some tropical and/or subtropical development in the northern Gulf.

The National Hurricane Center is currently giving this a 20% chance of happening over the next five days.

Model guidance is predicting development.

However, considering model guidance completely failed to predict the formation of Tropical Depression Three, this will be worth watching over the next few days.
