Tropical Update: Nestor Becomes a Post-Tropical Cyclone

Nestor has become post-tropical, meaning the cyclone no longer posses any characteristics of a tropical cyclone.

As of 10 AM CDT, Nestor was located about 70 miles south-southwest of Panama City with maximum sustained winds of 50 mph, a minimum central pressure of 996 mb, and was moving east-northeast at 9 mph.

While Nestor is no longer a tropical cyclone, impacts will be the same.

Because Nestor’s speed has slowed quite a bit, landfall will likely be this afternoon instead of this morning, but still occur between Panama City, FL and Apalachicola, FL.
