Threat for Isolated Strong to Severe Storms Tomorrow

A few isolated strong to severe storms will be possible across portions of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and the Florida Panhandle tomorrow along/ahead of a cold front.

The Storm Prediction Center has defined a level 1 out of 5 (marginal) risk area (see figure 1).

Wind shear should be sufficient for storm organization, but CAPE (instability) will be likely be lacking; this should temper the overall severe threat.

Should any strong/severe storms materialize, they will be capable of producing localized wind damage and/or a tornado.
