Severe Weather Possible Again Tomorrow

Another severe weather threat is expected tomorrow.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed much of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and the Florida Panhandle in a slight (level 2 out of 5) risk for some strong to severe storms.

A line of storms is expected to develop over Louisiana and western Mississippi tomorrow afternoon into tomorrow evening, and then move off to the northeast rather rapidly.

A decrease in instability and dynamics lifting moving off could result in the line weakening as it moves into southern Alabama and the Florida Panhandle early Thursday.

Damaging wind gusts will likely be the primary hazard associated with the line. However, an isolated tornado or two will also be possible.

Furthermore, additional rainfall could lead to more flash flooding across northern Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.
