A colder, and drier, air mass is going to move in Thursday and Friday as a stalled front that will keep things unsettled until then finally pushes out over the Gulf.
The coldest temperatures can be expected Friday night into early Saturday, when most are likely to drop into the 20s and 30s.
However, this shot of cold air will be brief.
Temperatures are set to rebound Sunday into Monday as a warm front lifts north and low-level southerly flow becomes established ahead of a developing low pressure system in the Plains.
