NOAA Issues Outlook for Spring 2020

Today is the Vernal (Spring) Equinox, marking the official start of astronomical spring.

Temperature outlook from NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center for the April-May-June period.

The NOAA outlook is for the April-May-June period. Above-average temperatures are being called for across much of the country.

Wetter than normal conditions are also expected for the eastern two-thirds of the nation. This, combined with already saturated soils, will most likely lead to an elevated threat for flooding in the central and southeastern United States.
