Stormy Easter Weekend Likely for Parts of Gulf Coast, Southeast

A stormy Easter is likely in store for parts of the Gulf Coast region and Southeast.

Model guidance is advertising a storm system to lift out of the Plains and into the Central/Eastern U.S. over the weekend, bringing a round of heavy rain and storms.

There is increasing potential for an episode of severe weather. However, model spread is still somewhat high, adding uncertainty with respect to the placement and magnitude of any severe weather threat.

Regardless of severe weather, a good soaking can be expected from roughly east Texas into the Southeast.
