Strong to Severe Storms Possible in Louisiana, Southeast Texas Today

A few strong/severe storms will be possible this afternoon and evening across Louisiana and southeast Texas.

The Storm Prediction Center has delineated a slight (level 2 out of 5) risk and marginal (level 1 out of 5) risk for severe weather. Damaging winds and a couple of tornadoes will be the primary threat.

It is expected that a narrow squall line will evolve from southeast Texas into northern Louisiana.

The squall line is likely to reach western Mississippi this evening. However, by then it will likely be weakening.
