Nice weather is in store this weekend. High pressure at the surface and ridging aloft will keep rain out of the forecast and allow for relatively clear skies to prevail.
However, surface high pressure and the upper ridging will shift east Sunday. This will cause surface winds to eventually become southerly/southwesterly and an increase in moisture. A shortwave is also expected to track across MS and AL as a cold front slides into the Southeast. As a result, a slight increase in cloud cover is possible Sunday, but we should remain dry.
High temperatures will likely be in the upper 70s to lower 80s today and low to mid 80s tomorrow. Lows will be in the upper 50s to lower 60s overnight.
Looking ahead to next week, the aforementioned frontal boundary looks to stick around. The result will be an unsettled pattern.
