8/29/31 9 AM CDT | NHC: “NORTHERN EYEWALL OF IDA APPROACHING THE COAST OF SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA…”

The northern eyewall of Ida is approaching the coast of southeast Louisiana. As of the 9 AM CDT position update from the National Hurricane Center, Ida had maximum sustained winds of 150 mph with a minimum central pressure of 930 mb and was moving northwest at 14 mph.

Landfall is likely within the next 2 – 3 hours Terrebonne Parish or southwest Lafourche Parish.
