Strong to Severe Storms Possible Today

Some isolated to scattered strong/severe storms will be possible across parts of Louisiana, south and central Mississippi and Alabama, the western Florida Panhandle into parts of Georgia this afternoon into tonight.

A slight (level 2 out of 5) risk for severe weather has been defined by the Storm Prediction Center for parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.

Damaging winds, tornadoes, and some instances of large hail will be possible.

Storms will initially be isolated/scattered in coverage. However, a line of storms is likely to develop by mid to late this afternoon along/ahead of a cold front.
