SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH Issued for Parts of TX, LA, and AR

A severe thunderstorm watch is now in effect for parts of southeast Texas, western and northern Louisiana, and far southern Arkansas until 7 PM CST this evening.

Thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon through this evening with the potential for some supercells.

Primary threats include:

  • Scattered damaging wind gusts to 65 mph possible
  • Scattered large hail events up to 1.5 inches in diameter possible
  • A tornado or two possible
