Winter Weather Advisory Issued for coastal Alabama Counties, Escambia County, FL

There continues to be potential for some light freezing rain/sleet across portions southeast Louisiana, south Mississippi, southwest Alabama tonight into tomorrow morning. Additionally, it now appears that there could even be some light freezing rain as far east as the extreme western Florida Panhandle.

Winter weather advisories remain in effect for parts of southeast Louisiana and Mississippi and have been extended into coastal southwest Alabama counties and Escambia County, FL.

However, ample uncertainty remains. And even if any freezing rain/sleet occurs, not everyone under an advisory will see it. Regardless, impacts will be limited/minimal with light accumulations possible, especially on elevated surfaces including bridges/overpasses.

Temperatures will warm above freezing during the day tomorrow which will allow for any ice/sleet accumulation to melt.
