Severe weather will be possible across the Southeast again tomorrow into Saturday. This threat comes just after storms Tuesday night into early Wednesday produced several tornados – including an EF-1 in Mobile County, AL.
The Storm Prediction Center has defined an enhanced (level 3 out of 5) risk for severe weather for parts of the Florida Panhandle/Big Bend and southern Georgia tomorrow into early Saturday.
Parts of south/central Alabama, the western Florida Panhandle, and north Florida have also been included in a slight (level 2 out of 5) risk area. Southeast Louisiana, much of southern Mississippi, and parts of central Alabama and central Florida have been included in a marginal (level 1 out of 5) risk area.
Storms, some of which could be strong/severe, will be likely throughout much of the enhanced and slight risk areas throughout the day tomorrow along/south of a warm front.
However, the greatest risk for severe weather is expected tomorrow evening into Saturday morning as a strengthening low/cyclone tracks northeast out of the lower Mississippi Valley, across the Southeast, and into the Mid-Atlantic by Saturday morning bringing an attendant cold front east.
All severe hazards (tornadoes, damaging winds, and large hail) will be possible.
